It is with great shock and sadness that the Independent Complaints Directorate (ICD) announces the death of one of its Senior Managers, Mr. Stephen Motaung Tiro.

Mr. Tiro died in a car accident on Saturday, 14 July 2001, between Pretoria and Rustenburg while on his way home from a funeral in the North West Province.

Mr. Tiro started working for the ICD on 01 April 1997 when the organisation first opened its doors to the public, as Director: Complaints Registry. He had previously served in the office of the Ombudsman in the North West Province for about 15 years.

A memorial service will be held for Mr. Tiro at the NG Florangia Church in Akasia on Thursday 19 July 2001 at 13:00 hrs.

He will be buried at the Pretoria North Cemetery on Saturday, 21 July 2001 at 07:00 hrs.
