The Executive Director of the Independent Complaints Directorate (ICD), Adv Karen McKenzie, will be holding a media conference in the Western Cape Province on Friday, 11 October 2002.

The purpose of the conference is for Adv. McKenzie to brief the media about the ICD's investigation into circumstances surrounding the escape of three of the most dangerous urban terror trialists from a holding cell at the Cape Town High Court on Thursday, 19 September 2002. She will make known the ICD's preliminary findings.
