The Independent Complaints Directorate (ICD) wishes to inform that it is investigating circumstances surrounding the death of an unknown woman on 4 June 2004. The incident occurred in Residential in Gaunteng on Friday, 04 June 2004, where a police officer shot at an unknown woman at his house. A police officer allegedly heard noise of gun shots outside his house, he started shooting and his bullet went through the door, he continued to shoot through the window. A body of an unknown woman her age estimated at 40yrs was found dead on his door step. The ICD took over the case docket immediately. The motive for the said visit by the unknown woman is not known. We appeal to members of the community to assist in identifying the body of unknown woman who is currently at the Sebokeng Government Mortuary. The woman was wearing brown and white jersey, red shoes, multi colour blanket Our investigation continues. Steve Mabona
